Since it is summer and quite hot out I like to do some ketogenic smoothies to cool me down. So here are two of my favorite recipes for smoothies.
Ketogenic Strawberry smoothie
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 2 tbsp unrefined coconut oil
- 1/3 cup of strawberries
- a pinch of salt
Just mix together all the ingredients in a mixer. No need to do anything special. You could also add some ice cubes into the mixer if you want. I have also tried to make it with other kinds of berries and that works totally fine also. You can also use watermelon to replace the strawberries, that also makes for a great smoothie.
Ketogenic Protein Powder smoothie
The other ketogenic smoothie recipe that I usually like to make is a protein powder smoothie. Since I frequently go to the gym i like to add in some additional protein in my ketogenic diet and a good way of doing that now in the summer is by drinking it as a smoothie. Just use the same recipe as above but replace the strawberries with the protein powder.
